Full-Soled Ballet slippers?

I used to wear split sole canvas Leo's and I just got a new pair of Bloch full-soled leather shoes and it fits really really snug. My problem is that when i go into demi-pointe, the part below the balls of my feet, there is a bulge of the shoe even though I tied it pretty tight.

Is that normal?

for me, full soled are VERY hard to dance in. to break them in, dance [obivious] and/or at night fold them in half and roll them around to soften the leather.

That's not common but does happen. It happened to me with a different brand of shoe and I ended up throwing it away... sorry.|||the bulge is pretty common in new full soles, and rarely goes away. it may even happen when you try to pont your feet. i personally think nobody needs a full sole, it does nothing for your arches. i would go back to canvas or leather split soles.|||They are probably just new. Once you break them in, they should do better. I agree with others, though-you need to get rid of the full sole and go to a canvas split sole (sansha makes a great brand for guys and girls.)|||well the truth is split sole shoes r better, more fleible, show off your feet better...i wore full sole ones when i was little u really just have to dance in them u cant break them in much, i personally think split soles r the way to go. espically if u r a serious dancer
