How I can improve this ballet step?
How can I keep my echapes (spelled wrong) stay on the ground? My feet always hop off the ground a little while sliding them. How can I fix this?
How I can improve this ballet step?headacheto begin with, start the step with a good firm plie. you need to think of having the step come from the inside part of your legs (your inner thighs, knees, etc) out. Concentrate on the motion of your feet sliding on the floor as opposed to springing open, and make sure to engage your rotater muscles (which are sort of in the upper portion of your backside) to ensure that you stay turned out throughout the step. hope this helps!

My dance teacher always says you need to make it look fluid not choppy also she says to always use plie. Sorry i cant use the correct puncuation. Anyways Try to make it have the consistancy of caramel or melted chocolate instead of nails and wood. But remember to plie and use you inne thighs. By the way im 12 years old but i have been dancing since i was 2 1/2. I also dance in tap and jazz qith people twice my age. mostly alot of high school kids.|||do not ever follow the saying practice amkes perfect because it is wrong if you are practicing the wrong thing you will learn the wrong thing try practice makes permanant|||POINT YOUR TOES!! and start with a good PLIE (spell check lol) watch your self in the mirror too. That helps me. I hope that helps :)|||use more plie, and a barre to help, you are hopping off the ground because your arn't brushing the floor, do more tendu's and degage's to help with that, and make sure your turned out in your hips, and your feet arn't sickled(sp) and do try to not look at the floor when your fixing this, you can feel if your doing it wrong.
