Ask your ballet school if you could add more classes to your current weekly schedule, perhaps 2 classes per week of the level above the one you are currently required to take. Let them know you want to challenge yourself while also forming your foundation at the lower level. The more classes per week you take, the faster you will progress, but you'll still build technique at the level you need to be at. This is how my daughters ballet school works.
My daughter was like you, she started late and hated being the oldest. It has been 6 1/2 years and she is now in the advanced division of her school. If you double your class load, you'll move up much faster. Good luck!

Tr your best at dance and prove to the teacher your good enough to move up!|||omg i have the same problem! And kids that are younger than me are moving up, and they are HORRIBLE (their moms are apparently good bullies). Point it out to your dance teacher, maybe she can recommend if you should move up.
