Is 14 too late to re-start ballet if I want to become a professional ballerina?

I did ballet from age 7 - 10 and got up to grade 4/5. my teacher told me i could be a ballerina but then i had to stop!!!

i've only just managed to re-start at 14!!! im so desperate but am i too late?!! tell me honestly. we can only afford 2 classes a week at the mo. but are there things i could practise everyday?

if i did enough, would i be able to get into a ballet school at 16?

It makes me sad when I hear stories like this.

you cant believe everything you hear especially from someone who is taking your money. A true teacher who sees talent and has a heart would ve taken you to an audition and maybe even another school so you can try out for a pre professional company and maybe a nonfor profit school.

dont believe other people have your best intension.

YOU need to see whats out there and learn about it.

you can restart at 14. you can even try out for a ballet scholarship at milwaukee ballet when you turn 16. you just need to work hard and find out what is the best school that has YOUR best interest and future goals incommon with you. not your money.there are schools out there you just have to find them.

ask: how many students go to other auditions from here?
