Is it too late to take up ballet?

i'm 16 years old. when i was 7 i started gymnastics and i did gymnastics until i was about 14 before i stopped. i was definitely in shape let's put it that way. But since i stopped i lost my muscle mass and i'm out of shape so if i just started ballet out of the blue it would kill me. I want to retake gymnastics and when i'm back in shape take up ballet. i was hoping by the time i graduate high school i can go to college and get my degree in whatecer i decide to major in and then after that see if i can try a performing arts school so we'd be looking at doing performing arts at a school when i'm in my early 20s. would i be considered too old by then?

Nope! Especially since you've done gymnastics. That will help.But I've seen women in their 30's and 40's take a class for their first time and after a couple years be great at it! True, if you've got arthritis, or cp, or some disability it might be hard ;), but nobody's specifically to old to dance.
