my mom is making me take ballet lessons with my sisters im 18 and not looking forward to it, she saying i have to wear something called a leotard and tights? but thats the same thing that my sisters are going to wear, so do boys have to wear the same things as girls? whats a leotard? and will it be really girly? i really dont wanna take this stupid class!!!

Leotard is like a t-shirt that has briefs attached to it. No, boys don't get to wear the same clothes. Boy's leotard is supposed to be different. And no skirts for you obviously.
No you won't look girly. You will develop some amazing strength and coordination. Fottball coahces send pro players to take ballet to get better balance and strength.

the answer is simple, tell her you don't want to and boys do wear tights but they don't wear tutu's you're 18 and you have to learn how to make your own decisions. tell your mom that you don't want to go to the ballet lessons and that you're old enough to decide what you want to do or don't want to do|||I'd at least try...ballet is a place to meet possibly attractive, physically fit young women. Men wear tights and generally wear black shorts over the tights and a white t shirt. Male dancers are treated carefully because there are so few.
