What is the chalk ballet dancers use for their shoes?
There's always like a little box of some kind of chalk that ballet dancers used with their pointe shoes... I would assume to keep the shoes from slipping on the floor.
But -- what is the powder/chalk called??

it's called rosin. it helps dancers not slip. it can be used on pointe shoes or normal shoes. it's a beautiful concept.|||Rosin.

I just use sidewalk chalk, seriously, it all comes from the same base product. I would fold a peice of paper, throw in a stick of chalk and crush it with my pointe shoes.
