I dreamed I was in Jurassic Park and the dinosaurs were about to go nuts and me and my daughter were in a theater with raptors and they were going to attack us and the only reason they didn't was because I quickly made a batch of buttercream frosting and they liked it so they agreed to just eat all the buttercream instead of me, provided I still let them hunt us.

This will be a very unsatisfying response, but do you remember there is a kitchen scene in Jurassic Park where the kids are trying to escape from raptors? Maybe your brain just recalled that scene.

I can try to interpret it another way. Jurassic Park represents the world. The raptors represent a group of people you find threatening, or who are threatening your daughter. Using something as simple as buttercream frosting you are able to make a compromise that pleases both sides.

Or maybe, rather than fighting them or going, "No, you may not eat or hunt us," you chose something simple and silly to save your lives, letting the raptors remain a threat. In that case your dream is telling you to stand up for yourself better. Since you didn't seem upset with the dream result, though, I think the compromise idea fits better.

Your daughter may really represent your daughter, as someone you love and want to protect. She might also represent a part of YOU--I'm sure you share some qualities with each other, and she could represent those qualities in you. If that's the case, that is the part of you that feels most threatened.
