How do I use my Xbox 360 guitar hero II controller to play frets on fire on my PC?

I just got frets on fire, as i want to play new songs like Dream Theater, Dragonforce etc... but when I plug in the controller to the USB port, it doesn't pick it up on Frets on Fire. I need some help. Anyhting is greatly appreciated. Thanks
