I want to go into musical theater, but....?

All my life, I've been a singer. A pretty damn good one, at that. It's my dream to play Roxie Hart from Chicago on stage, but there's just one little problem. I'm disabled, therefore I can't dance worth crap. I mean, I can WALK, but I'm a terrible dancer!! What should I do?

Put all of your spirit into what you are trying to do. If someone is good, directors will often work with their disabilities. This is the new millennium, we don't cast against disabilities these days. Keep pursuing your dream, and don't let anyone tell you that you can't. Theatre can always work with this kind of thing, and the show doesn't have to be done exactly the same way every time. Blow the directors away with what you can do. Good luck!

He was a thalidomide baby and he doesn't have proper arms or legs. He says he does concerts because there are no roles in opera for someone who looks like a penguin.

I've thought someone should write a penguin opera for him.
