Once in the REAL WORLD understand you will start off as an USHER or TICKET TAKER and have to WORK YOUR WAY UP via LIGHTS, CURTAINS, PROPS.
These people in theater is very SADISTIC, they had to start this way so they make you start this way!
Also, get used to not making more than $300 a week in pay!
Get used to working 12 hour days 7 days a week
Get used to sleeping and living at the theater.
Acting is a life, not an adventure!
You also better not have a problem with druggies and homosexuals. About 15% are heavy drug users (I'd say 60% are casual drug users) and 35% are homosexuals in show biz.
It's not the place you'd take your grandmother for an inside tour. It is a very strange world of make beleive.
The audience NEVER sees behind the curtain. They only see what the directors and producers show them.
Also learn to not be modest. Something goes wrong with a costume you change back stage with the male (more than likely Homosexual) wabrodober and EVEYRONE there sees you in bra and panties! But only for about 30 seconds.
Learn to work when you have a 102 fever as THE SHOW MUST GO ON!
You are NOT stocking shelves at K MART!
You don't NOT SHOW UP because it's snowing outside.
You PLAY to 3 people in the house and you do it like you want an academy award!
