Making a Band Questions?

We have a drummer, two guitarists, and a bassist.

Our inspirations are:

Rush

Dream Theater

Queensryche

Metallica

Satriani

Etc.

1. What should our band name be?

- Soundcheck

- Periodic Left (The left side of the periodic table is all metals)

- Etc.

- Blackburn

- Sideways Circle

- <Suggestion?>

We want our songs to be witty, probably humerous, but about the world (current events), to the point, and mean something.

We need a couple songs for a gig in about 6 months. (I know, long time).

Anyway, what are some good topics to write about with the above information?

Welll. Uhh. Write about broken hearts?, or

try to imagine something you like.

for example: what to you think of when you see a person

in a car sitting alone in the rain.

^ try making lyrics out of that.

then the lyrics would be something like,

"the drops of rain they fall all over, this akward silence makes me crazy, the glowing sideburns light up on her, ill try to kiss you if you let me"

but don't use that cuz thats from a Blink 182 song :)

well, judging from your influences, you could probably call your band "we obviously don't give a crap about what the bass plays, cos we're just gunna tune it out later"
