But you've followed it for this long - look at some other people that didn't make it big until their late 20's - J-Lo, and I don't think she's let any of her ex's drag her down much. All you need is to get with the right people and if you've got that talent that would set you aside from the rest, then that's all you'd need and maybe one day someone will notice that. Have you tried acting in the US? I don't know much about that side of the border, but if you've got experience with the theater up there, I'm sure you'd have a chance here also.|||First lose the dreamcrusher, then get on with it. You're not too old. Maybe too old for a long career as a Hollywood leading lady but that's not what you want anyway. Theater has lots of parts for people who are older than 26. You might be the mother or the aunt or the sister or the secretary of the star but you'll be there. And if you're good you'll steal the show from the star. Most of my acting friends are in their thirties and forties and older and they are busy all the time. They work at day jobs but act in several plays a year. And remember the audience is getting older. People want to see older people onstage. I'm working on a play right now for six actresses in their sixties. It's not about how old you are but what can you do. Do it!|||Ki ora from Richie. Don't give up dude. I'm 29 and I have just moved to Australia as of last week, to become a full time artist. I was an art teacher previous but have grown a little tired of the constant politics in the classroom. And i've decided I could teach people alot more about the world in which we live by expressing what I have to say, visually. The key thing is to have a strategy and specific goals to help guide your quest, otherwise it's hard to see direction in times of stress. Having faith is massive!!!!!! I'm a new Bahai, which is the source of my self belief, which, when all is said and done is what it's all about. I guess putting yourself out there helps too, pushing your comfort zones. The last 4 years I have lived in China. I went there with no teaching experience and no idea how to speak the language. Four years later I had changed as a person. Very little phases me now because i went through quite a bit!!
