I'm a good DT fan and i want to know if dream theaters new album is good. I wanna make sure they didnt change they're style like korn or metallica did...
Systematic Chaos??concertsDream Theater has this concept of a different sound for every album. For this particular album, as MP said, it's @s$ and b@lL$. Metal, maybe even heavier than ToT.
Personally, i like the album. Nice to get back to heavy riffs and insane solos. Jordan is my favorite member of DT, and although their music's getting heavier and heavier, he still manages to play a big role in the band, leveling with JP even.

I always had defended Train of Thought because it had always recieved so much criticism and I liked it, but if you listen to Tot after Chaos...Chaos just crushes it to pieces. Its a very solid progressive metal album. Undeniably the best DT album since Scenes.
Im not fanatic about Petrucci's fantasy lyrics, which is my ONLY complaint. The lyrics, however, dont take away from the album and music as a whole.
And Dream Theater is not Korn. At all. Their style change was simply becoming heavier and better.|||I like this album. They are more closely to Metallica now .. Not Yes, Rush .. no more .. :-)
