I am interested in joining Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. but I have not attended many of their eve

I live off campus and many times my school and work schedules didn't allow me the time to attend their on campus events. Will this hender my chance of joining? Also I'm a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and i'm in a couple orgs. on campus, I have a 3.3 gpa do I stand a chance when pledging?

The worst thing you can do is NOT apply. If you feel you have even a slight chance I would attend Rush, and Submit a packet. It appears that you indeed meet the requirements of joining delta HOWEVER you must get to know my sorors, and they must know who you are as well. I know it's kind of hard to battle school, work, and it can be even more difficult if you live off campus, however have you reached out to any of my sorors?

This is important because even if you meet the bare minimal requirements, you will still need my soror's vote to be chosen for membership. You stated that you were in a few orgs on campus. Do you know if my sorors are apart of that organization as well? That is a perfect opp for you to get to know them, and for them to get to know you as well. I understand how hectic school/work/volunteer schedules can be, but as long as you make an effort in allowing them to get to know you, then you should be fine.
