Im doing a research paper on intrinsic motivation and pleasant events?sheet music.....Typically, pleasant events just happen and you just happen to be lucky enough to experience them. Your positive reaction to these experiences in a good example of an intrinsic motivator.
Leisure/recreation is the kind of potentially positive experience that you have to make happen. If experienced as a pleasant event, it too could be intrinsically motivating. But if experienced as a reward you've set up for yourself, such as "This is something I deserve because of all the hard work I've done lately," then it is an extrinsic motivator.
