The defining characteristic of deism is the belief that the Creator does not reveal itself or care about the going-ons of the universe. The Creator created, then walked away.|||I know God performs miracles every day and sometimes choses a person to be used for such purpose. However, there are many out there who claim to be prophetic and healers only to get fame and fortune out of it. And priesthoods are generally opposed to change, they don't want to upset the applecart.
Prophecy's and supernatural events if accepted would make
religion a fluid and ever changing phenomenon.
Asking priests to embrace that is like asking a dictator if he

That's almost correct, we don't believe god ever interacted with us in that way.
