8. Issuing of the federal Greenback (ie us money)

12. George Washington's crossing of the Delaware

These are in no particular order. But I would say that Washington's crossing of the Delaware has to be the most important. If he hadn't done that then America would still be British. 2nd would be the Election of Abraham Lincoln for obvious reasons.
