Bible predicting events? Bible Code?

Can anyone give me Biblical references (Quran, Christian Bible, etc.) that seem to have predicted world events? Coded or not? I know that supposedly the Bible has hidden codes and messages within it which some scientists have said could not be random.

I love codes, and find them fascinating, plus the topic interests me.

Also, if people knew about the codes, could it increase the risk that people would fullfill them, knowingly or not?

And yes, prophesies have a way of fulfilling themselves.

Lets take Revelations as an example.

It's not too much of a stretch to think idiots like this guy ( http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... could equate Rapture with suicide bombing. Suddenly Christian Fundies are blowing stuff up.

People don't even have to blow things up to help these prophesies come true. Many people are actively seeking to fulfill them. Check out the first link in the sources for a story about a Mississippi farmer who is breeding red heifers so they can be sacrificed according to biblical prophesy.

Check out St Malachy's list (second source link) of all the popes until the coming of "The Terrible Judge." Guess what? There is only one more Pope on the list after Benedict. Considering Benedict is now 80 (IIRC), the End Times should be within our lifetimes.
