Does anyone have any ideas for holding sponsored events?

The school I work in is trying to raise money for UNICEF, in order to provide safe drinking water and clean sanitation in developing countries.

So far, we have come up with these ideas for events:

sponsored walk (to highlight how far children in poor countries have to walk to find water)

sponsored silence

sponsored read

Does anyone have any other ideas?

As you are trying to raise money for UNICEF to provide safe drinking water why dont you put a twist on some of the sponsored events eg. Sponsored relay walk carrying containers of water, or sponsored list of water uses.

Parents versus students competitions with entrance fees for parents|||what about a fun-day? ask parents to make buns and cakes to sell for 10-30p and you could do face painting for 50p ask parents again to donate brick a brak to sell at a jumble sale, non uniform day each child pays 50p just a few things that my childs school has done
