to burn the video to a playable dvd use VSO ConvertX to DVD

Do you see this whole name in the windows explorer? What Icon does it shows? Go to the MS-DOS mode by clicking on START=>RUN and type CMD press enter.

1) Go the appropriate drive and directory where the above mentioned file is placed.

2) Type DIR on the command prompt

3) See the extension.

Once you identify the extension. Let me know.

If the extension is exactly what you say, just replace it with .AVI as most of the DVD Rips are .AVI format. You will be able to play this now.
