Extension Cord for Pool Pump has black / burnt prongs...Why?
Hello, I have a pool pump that is pluged into a heavy guage, appliance extension cord. The extension cord is plugged into an outdoor timer, which is rated to handle the output of the pool. All of the wires stay remotely dry (except during heavy rainstorms). I noticed last night that the right prong on the extension cord is black and some of the rubber at it's base is charred. Anyone know what would cause this???
