For Those Of You Who Are Deeply SPIRITUAL, How Do You View Life's Events?
I've read that there are a few who are intimately aware of, and are in touch with, their true selves ... and they don't view life as the vast majority of us do. I'm calling these people "spiritual." While most of us assign a "good" or "bad" label to life's events, they do not. To them, what happens simply happens. No more, no less.
It sounds simple ... and I suppose it is if you've made it a habit. Unfortunately, I've not yet.
For those of you who are truly spiritual, who view the world's occurrences differently than most, how, for instance, can you view losing your job as no different than inheriting a small fortune? Do you consider the possible consequences of an event down the road, or is your attitude genuinely it-is-what-it-is?
For Those Of You Who Are Deeply SPIRITUAL, How Do You View Life's Events?symphonyFor a long time I've been a bit like what you mentioned, and for the past few years have become like your other elements. It bears noting that I've always believed in God, but am largely unimpressed with religion -- so I'm spiritual, but not confined by rigid rules. [I like to joke that "I wasn't raised religiously -- for which I thank God daily."]
I do believe that things just happen -- we all have free will, so nothing really can prevent someone from doing harm to another person. It's amazing that some people think our every action is controlled by God -- though I believe God occasionally intercedes, I think He's most interested in observing us live our own lives. Otherwise, if we were all just puppets on a string, God would have us all behaving benevolently, no?
