Life of Pi is about Piscine Molitor Patel (or Pi). he is an Indian and his family travels to Canada when E,ergency is declared in India.(1970s).

In the sea travel he loses his family when the ship sinks. they were zoo owners and so in the lifeboat Pi is stuck up with a zebra, an arang-utan ,a hyena, and a Bengal Tiger. Richard Parker is the Tiger.

Pi follows three religions. Islam, Hinduism and Christianity.

He survives (somehow and unbelievably) and reaches Canada and tells his story.

This book won the Booker Prize and is probably a true story..

srry. i only read a little bit of the life of pi. but a friend read it. i dont think he dies, but the tiger eats all the other animals in the boat.|||wut exactly do you mean by "foreshawdowing"????
