Hi, My H4 visa expired in jan 2007.my husbands employer as applied for the extension of my H4 visa.?

mean while i am filing for H1B visa on april 1st 2007.I wish to visit india in june 2007.Is it possible to visit if my H1B visa approval is still pending.will i be able to work when my H1B is apporved even after i will enter US on H4.

You should be able to leave USA and come back even if you H1B is pending since you are on a H4 Status(dependent).Your H1B will kick in (starts) on oct 1 2007.When you go back to India in June however you should get the passport stamped with the h4 status since you mentioned that your h4 visa expired.But if you get you H1 B approved by June 2007,I think that you might be stamped as a h1b on your passport when you go to the visa consulate office with an effective date (for h1B work) as oct 1.
