How can run or use files with [.xpi] extension?

.xpi is a file extension used by the Mozilla foundation. Firefox, Thunderbird, and Mozilla browser all recognize it (at least the latest versions do). Simply open up the application it was intended for and do Tools->Extensions/Themes/Add-ons (which one of those it is will depend on the version and the application)
