How do you open a file with a .pub extension?

Presumably you need Microsoft Publisher, which I don't have. Any suggestions for an easy way to open a .pub file.

Unfortunately there is no other way than to use MS publisher. Download.com to happen to offer a few tools for previewing these files but it is very difficult to extract this information- even Quark cannot extract text from such files.

I have spent weeks trying to do just this- my recommendation is get hold of the fikle in another format or find a friend with publisher!

Have someone you know who has publisher save it as a word document.|||If it is just a text document, then if you right-click it and select Open With, then choose a text editor (like Notepad or WordPad) and you can then view the document in plain text format.|||i'm not sure but i think open office might be able to open it with one of its own programs maybe people can confirm this.|||I believe you need Microsoft Publisher to open that file.
