How do you pronounce the .rar file extension?

This seems like kind of a trivial and silly question, but I would really like some opinions on this. I personally pronounce it like "rare," but I have a couple of friends who pronounce it "rawr" (I'm not sure what the alt-codes for the needed letters for a more accurate pronunciation would be, sorry). I even have a friend who spells it out (.R-A-R). It might help to think of this in the context of winrar if you aren't in the habit of pronouncing .rar. Thanks.

We pronounce it here in the philippines. RAR... the way it is spelled. Yup, .rar files are commonly associated with winrar....
