You should be able to go to tools in the menu bar and go to internet options. then go to the view tab and uncheck "hide extension from known file types" then everything should display extensions.|||EXE means a program. If it's on your desktop and not on the startup bar, just right click on it, go down to Rename, left click on that, and rename it, then, move your mouse to a blank spot on your desk top and left click once. The program name should be listed, along with the icon.|||Assuming you're running Windows:
Open an explorer window
Go to "Tools"
Select "Folder Options..."
Select the "View" tab
Uncheck the box that says "Hide extensions for known file types"
