The Mesozoic era comprises the Triassic period, which saw the first dinosaurs and the earliest mammals, The Jurrassic, the age of dinosaurs when the supercontinent Pangea began to break up and the Cretacious which ended with the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction event.

The Cenozoic saw the rise of the mammals, including Man.
