I have IGS visa expiring in feb 09, would I be getting a free visa extension of 1yr IGS as its going

As IGS will be give for 2 yrs post 1st may 2008, and I got it for 1yr in Feb08, will I be getting an IGS visa extn for 1 yr.

Hi. You can now apply for the extention regardless the expiry date. However, the one year extention starts from the date of your application approved. Therefore, if you want to have it longer you should wait to apply for it until this December of January 09.

Also, it is not free. You have to pay a couple of hundreds pounds for the application again. The Home Office website should have more information now.
