Understandably, she cannot do most things with him as she is away but I don't think he should ask me to attend these family sort of events with him. Seems a little awkward. What do you think?

As long as she does not have a problem with it and the two of you are going just as friends, i dont see a problem with it. However if she does not like it, i would not go along with him.|||as long as nothing will happen then i think it would be ok.|||I have two thoughts on this question... How does his g/f feel about him always asking you? Is there any reason why this should feel awkward to you?

Most of my friends are guys, I get along better with them, I talk to them better, and most guys feel pretty comfortable opening up to me, so they like to have me around for the rare "sharing" moments they have. But if he is not telling her, and his family isn't sure of the relationship between you, maybe you should take a step back and look at this a little better.
