I have this file having extension (.exe) and it has a plain window icon.how can i delete it?

this file is a big problem.it was initially a .rar file when i changed its extension by renaming it.now whenever i try to delete it a message 'it is being used by another user or program' pops up.plz help me coz it is occupying a huge space on my desktop.

goto safe mode and then delete it.

Press F8 when the system starts, and select safe mode in the advance boot options.|||Option 1 :......Close all programs.

Press CTRL/ALT/DEL key Check the application and delete it.. I think you can locate by the amount it uses and unfamiliar name

Option 2 : Rename again to .rar

This is .a compressed file

Now you can delete it.
