I need help with a 16 years old that cant controll his temper at sports events. Any suggestions?

I have a 16 year old son that throws little fits at sports events like wrestling when he gets beat. I know that it is a hard sport but his attuidue is not getting any better. I have tried to have a talk with him but it doesnt help. I need some suggestions on how to handle this.

He may need counseling for anger issues. There may be other problems going on with him that come out in the heat of competition.

I'm sure you have explained that wrestling is just a sport & that you win some & you lose some & that the bigger man is the gracious loser.

I just worry that if his anger issues are not figured out & dealt with, they may come out in other ways especially the older he gets & the stronger he gets.

Seek counseling for him.

I would stop him from competing if he can't keep a good attitude! Kids need to feel the consequences of their actions!!|||rugby|||that is a tough one. i am thirteen but my brother had the same problem. at his basketball gamesand ended up hving to sit out his last ever game because a tequnial foul. make sure he undersatnds other people look up to him and hes showing them that bad sportmaship is okay when its not, or ask him if its worth the attitude when he knwos hell end up winning a different game. sorry i cnt really help with this one. but with most boys, sports and attitude go hand in hAnd. ask him if he wants you to start acting like that.|||ur lying at sports events like wrestling u mean wwe i dought he fights in a ring and theres security weak but still and i know u cant say school cause in ur answer u basically said he gets beat at wwe ur lying.|||is he retarded|||kick his a**|||I doubt this is a problem that has just started, in which case, you should have already been trying to fix it because waiting only makes it harder.
