you cant download from youtube. If you are using the savevid website then it will only save in it's format you cannot change that. Try using a different site youtube is not for downloading. I am not even sure if it's legal.

go to the first site below (youtubex). it also lets you download videos from google video and myspace etc. the default extension is flv (but you have to type it in or else it's invalid). if you want to convert it to avi or mpg, download the FLV encoder. It's FREE!
