If in the next few years Israel were to destroy Iran's nuclear facilities, what chain of events

To many experts, it seems certain that Iran's current path will ultimately lead them to obtaining nuclear weapons.

Israel has said that it will not allow this to happen.

If both of these statements are true, then it would seem likely that Israel will one day launch military strikes against Iran.

If this happened, what chain of events would ensue. What other countries might become involved and what would happen to the region?

Syria is the only likely candidate to stand up for Iran and they are smart enough to know they can not beat Israel and neither can Iran - in fact together the two of them would probably never get soldiers inside Israel. My guess is they would try to retaliate with medium range conventional missiles and then Israel would take those out. Unless Syria managed to convince Russia to help them; it would settle into nothing.|||How long is a piece of string? You could write a book for this question although it is a good one. All I can say is that in the future I believe both Israel and Iran will still exist and there wont be a nuclear war. The rest is roulette.|||That would be a good question for Hillary Clinton to answer, as I am sure she would give you an honest answer, as they the Clintens are noted for their complete and unwavering honesty. As soon as she wins big in PA, she could probably develop a plan for world and male domination, putting food stamps for the unemployed upper and foremost in her new world order agenda. By the way I am sure they are going to reveal their '07 taxes as soon as Hillary is sworn in as Pres.|||That depends a lot on who has the capability to do anything about it, and is willing to. Iran is a loose cannon with it's current government. The other countries might well scream and yell about it, rattle their "sabers" a lot, but actually do nothing at all. There again, they might retaliate. With that in mind, it would be interesting to see what America and Russia would do. Israel might very well come out on top, one more time. Thus far, Israel has done just that, every time an Arab country has picked a fight with Israel.|||terrible dreams-you must be making!|||If Israel was to fight against one other Arabian country then almost every single other country in the middle east will attack Israel remember. Most of the Middle East hates Israel. They haven't done anything because the US backs Israel 100%.
