What events, places to see in San Antonio over the 4th of July?!?
We are going to be in San Antonio from July 3rd thru July 9th...coming with two toddlers. What should we make it a point to see while there? (besides seaworld, lol) Are there any 4th of July events that are a *must*? Any country bar/restaurants (kid friendly...i am thinking music and electronic bull riding or some other eye candy for the kids) or anything else we have to see while there???
Thanks!!!
What events, places to see in San Antonio over the 4th of July?!?imax theaterI don't know what has happened Half of my answer has disappeared I will try again. I suggest that you go to the zoo, the alamo, the missions,
For us that live here it is no secret that Lackland Air Force Base is open to the public that day, and there are all kinds of things and demonstrations going on, and with out a doubt it has one of the finest fireworks displays of any place in San Antonio. So bring plenty of sun screen, a can of OFF for the insects later in the evening a few folding chairs and a beach blanket and a ice chest and a picnic basket. AND it is FREE
Visit to Fredericksberg would also be on my list of things to do, This little town is fraught with history and has a German shopping center with a Christmas Store set up for Christmas 365 days a year. It would be Worth a minute of two to visit the German Bakery there and buy some of their wonderful breads.
