What is the purpose of extension class?





From what I understand they exist only for personal enrichment... they can't be used towards any type of degree... Is this true?

What kinds of people can you find in extension classes? Are these classes difficult?

It's continuing education- if you want to learn to make pottery for fun, take the extension class. If you want to go to college, this isn't for you as the credits don't count toward a degree, except in exeptional circumstances. Better to go to the community college, the credits count. But, if you just want to learn something specific for personal interest, go for it.
