rm files are made by real networks, and they make their own player, you probably heard of it, realplayer?, you can use that and install it, it will play any rm file, or if u still wanna play the rm file on ur windows media player (which is what i do) then install real alternative, it allows windows media player to play rm files

The RM extension is RealMedia (a multimedia container format created by RealNetworks). Real Player will work, but I dislike this software due to third-party bundles it contains in it's installation.
