i have 5 kids with my late husband. and he has 5 kids with his ex his older kids are having a problem with us getting married they are 23 and older what should i do to help them understand we are happy and love each other very much

I won't add on to what everyone else is saying as to be reduddant. I will just say this... It is sad that his children are so flippin' closed minded to not even give you the opprutunity to get to know them and take the opprotunity to get to know YOU. zThey have no idea how how nice things could be for there father (who would be happy being with you).

I will just add this. Do not take it personal. It absolutely has nothing to do with you and everything with them not being able to see their father move on. They obviously are still in the frame of mind that their mother and father should STILL be married. And maybe ,in time, they will come to see that he is happy and in love with you and put their own selfishness and anger aside. And hopefully they won't take out their anger on you..Which seems inevitable for a time.
