I didn't start getting my period until I was almost 19??

I am almost 23 so I have been getting my periods for about 4 years now. I didn't know about yahoo answers back then so I never really found out how common or uncommon it was to start so late. I developed about average as far as breast and that sort of thing. I went to the doctor back then and they couldnt find anything that was causing me not to have it.

I really want to know if anyone else can relate to this. Could it play some factor into me having kids down the road even though Ive been getting them on a fairly regular basis?

some people just start later than others which is perfectly normal. no it won't affect having children down the road. you'll be ok it's normal

dang thats some news! u will have kids|||I was 16,and so was my mom,but my daughter was 13,so it all depends on your mother,usually it starts around the same age your mother was,in my experience, I would not think it is a huge deal,just be glad it only started at 19,unless the doc says differently,be happy bout that one girl.

you should be able to have kids no problem,but ask a doc that one for sure.|||Every boy and girl goes through adolesence at different times.

Examples.. Males who grow moustaches at 13, and others who don't start until 18. Growth spurts. Or even breast growth. I'm turning 20 this year and they're still growing. =)

Aslong as it's regular since then. If you want to be sure then go get a fertility test.
