I have a question about late periods?

I've been having my period for 11 years and have never been late. I use mymonthlycycles.com to help me predict when my next period will start, as well as when I'll be ovulating, etc. As of today, I'm four days late. I've been cramping like I'm going to start, but still nothing happens. At all. And my breasts are so sore that my husband cannot touch them, especially on my nipples. My question is, why would my period just suddenly be late like that? Is there a reason, other than pregnancy, that could cause this to happen? I'm not stressed out, I haven't changed my eating habits or exercise habits. I haven't taken any medications or been sick. We are TTC but I don't want to get my hopes up right now. I am planning on buying a pregnancy test today, but in the meantime, I was wondering what other reasons your period that's usually on time, and regular, would suddenly just not show up?

sore boobs suggest to me that you may be pregnant... it was the first thing I noticed when i was pregnant! you may have had some sort of hormonal imbalance which may cause this, but it really sounds like early pg. let us know the results of the test!
