You can still get them, just call your doctor to set up an appointment. Make sure to tell your doctor that you believe you already have contracted the flu. The best way to keep them from getting it now is to make sure you, and the kids, are washing hands very often. At the end of this post is the proper procedure for washing hands... teach this to your kids to save LOTS of doctor visits in the future. Develop a GREAT habit early.

To keep from transferring the flu virus...
Use a bleach based cleaner to :
Anything that is a community item, (or item that will be touched by the whole family), wipe down door knobs, sink knobs, refrigerator handles... that type of thing.
Make sure that all dishes are first dipped into bleach water... then rinsed thoroughly... and then washed as you normally would wash dishes.
Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing, and clean up any bodily fluids that get onto the floor or bathroom items. Make sure these things are cleaned up well... then go over the area with bleach if possible. Remember, anti-bacterial cleaners will not hurt the flu 'virus'. Viruses are more virulent than bacterium. Virus and bacteria are not the same thing.
