My dad, my sis, my bro, my X, my current husband, and my 3 kids are US citizen. Why I'm I still unable to obtain a resendency or some stable statues in this country? I've been In the US for more than 20 yrs.I came here to the US with a visitor visa thru my parents I was doing the process, but got prego at 17 so I got married, they told me I had to do the process thru my x. With him there was always something coming up, different address on license, missing birth certificate, ect. I left the country for a year came back, started the process over thru him only a work permit I obtained. Then 6 years later got divorced still no papers, returned in 99' got remarried in 03'. They gave me a temporary stamp on my passaport and it expired summer of last year. They also had send me a green card that I never received because the address was different but yet I had received a paper saying congratulations on being a US recident. I tried getting it but they said it was to late and it was destroyed.

Hidden deep inside this long, sad story is a clue that tells me that you are a permanent resident. For one, you received a notice saying that your are a U.S. resident. Second, they gave you a temporary stamp which sounds like a temporary ADIT stamp. They only give those to permanent residents.
