The deadline was march 2nd and i missed it this year (yes im so stupid but i got caught up in school and work). will i get no money or a lot less money because i am a couple of days late?

I think almost every year during my undergrad when I applied for the fafsa we were late getting it in, like May and June, and each year I still received money. Even though its better to get it in ASAP, the school's well is probably not dry and they will still base your award off of your tax information and income.

Keep in mind that there are people that decide they want to attend school at the last minute; also, everything is mostly done online and a lot of people still have not done their taxes yet!!!

You know, the deadline is pointless. You can send it in whenever you want, you'll probably just get a little less money. However, I always send it in late cause I do my taxes somewhat late, and I always get a good sum, so I think it might not matter that much at all.|||If you get it done ASAP you probably will not have any trouble at all. You will most likely be put at the end of the line but you shouldn't really suffer too much. If you apply very late then you will get almost nothing.|||I know that last year I submitted my FAFSA, like, two months late and I still got all of my student loans as usual.|||You could still apply... I don't think there's a necessarily a deadline for fafsa. I remember calling FAFSA one time about when the deadline for fafsa filing is and they told me that you can apply whenever. And yes, you might receive less financial aid as opposed to someone who renewed their fafsa during January. \
