If my first pregnancy ran late, what are the chances I will go past my due date again?
My first daughter I was pregnant for almost 43 weeks!!!
I am now 39 weeks and having a lot of "symptoms" that labor is close, but it may just be wishful thinking, LOL!
Ladies, what are you personal experiances?
Does anyone know what the odds are I will be late again?
I know that I will go soon, even if I last 3 more weeks it can't possibly go longer than that, but I am getting so antsy! I am sooo ready for this to be over... I may be in the home stretch but it is dragging out, the rest of the pregnancy flew by and now I am going nuts!
Help me- how did your first pregnancy relate to your second, third, etc.?
TIA!

It gets really hard at the end when you are feeling miserable and just want to meet your new little baby. The best advice I can offer is to carry on with your normal daily activities and try not to think about when labor will start. Find a project to do that will keep you engrossed or take the time out to do something relaxing for yourself. Maybe spend some extra special time with your first daughter before the new baby arrives. Go see a movie you really want to see or do something you like to do that will be difficult to do with a newborn to care for. Maybe even plan a little something each day to look forward to. Another piece of advice is to mentally change your due date to 1-2, even 3 weeks later. Tell yourself that baby isn't due until that date so you won't be disappointed if you go overdue. And remember, your actual due date is just a guess based on averages, your baby doesn't have a calendar hanging up on the inside of your womb so he/she doesn't know when that magical date is. ;)
