Im 10 days late on my period, what should I do?

Okay, My husband and I are trying for a baby but I am not having good luck. I have taken two pregnancy tests and they both said no. But I have never been late on a period for more than 2 days excpet for being pregnant. I have been told that it could just be stress or that I need to go to the dr. but I am new to town and dont know where I would be going, I would get lost. And my husband wont be home from the field till sometime next week (he is in the army). Everyone I know here is out of town till next week too. And I have 1 friend who said she was late 6-7 weeks before she had a positive test come out, do I really have to wait that long? I really dont know what I should do. Oh and even if I could find a dr.s office I couldn't go, I cant take my 2 year old son in there, he is so low on patients... I would get kicked out before even getting to see a dr. What should I do? Do I really have to wait that long to find out if I'm pregnany or not? Please Help!!

The pregnancy test depends on hormones in your system. If you conceived in the past 2 weeks, it may not pick up on it.

I would wait a week if not more to take a test.

Also, scope out doctors in the area, even if you are new. If you are pregnant, you need to do that anyway. Find a babysitter for your son and go.
