I quit the mini pill 5-6 months ago and my periods were irregular the latest I have been is 2 weeks but i eventually got it, me and my fioncee made love 6 weeks ago he was unprotected but withdrew, Iam now a week late for my period so I took a pregnancy test just in case it was a negative, I can feel period pains but there not strong and they come and go, if I havn't got my period by Monday I will go to the doctors but why havn't I got it yet?

I will be choosing a best answer.

And also how long after quitting the pill does your period start to become regular again?

I have absolutely no medical training, but when I came off the mini-pill my period was all over the place for about a year.

Obviously the pregnancy test could have been a false negative so I would definitely recommend seeing the doctor on Monday or taking another test.

It honestly could be that your hormones are still settling down from the pill.
