Is it too late to fulfill my dreams?

I'm about to be 40 soon and the past 5 years in my life have been horribly depressing, due to some personal issues in my life. It has been so bad that it's effected my career and social life. Now, I've decided to make a change and turn my life around, but I need lots of encouragement. I've decided to go back to school and get a second degree. I guess what I need to know is, how do I keep myself motivated? Is it too late for me to have a happy life?

I had just turned 20, was working on my college degree and had big plans with my life. Next thing I knew, I met the woman of my dreams, married her a couple years later after we graduated and was with her every second.

Now we're divorced, and at 27, my life starts over. I may seem young, but I sure felt old for a while. My life more or less stopped at 20 and resumed 7 years later. I have rededicated myself to pursuing those goals I once had. I'm getting a new job and relocating to the city, just as I had wanted to do before. I've made new friends and reconnected with old ones. I feel younger than I ever have!

My advice is to do just that. Figure out what makes you happy, what will keep you driven. Think of everything as possible and take definitive steps to reach those goals. The deep sense of purpose you will get from pursuing ambitious goals will make you feel young and alive and you'll be happy in no time, living the dream!
