Is it too late to get a rebate check after 9 months according to consumer law?

I submitted a $10 rebate coupon with receipt and UPC code to Tabletops Unlimited in Carson, California in August 2005. I haven't received my $10 check in the mail, yet. Is it too late to research what happened to the money? Or can I still try to get the rebate money?

It's tough these days to know that your mailing actually got to its designation. Most companies have a number to check the status of your rebate check. If you've checked out about the status of the rebate and still haven't received it and you got the info there in time you should still be eligible, but for the value ($10) it's probably not worth the effort of fighting for it.
